- Rat's Life - Robot Programming Contest
- This contest is organized to promote research and stimulate interest in bio-inspired robotics control. The participation to the contest is open to anyone and costs nothing. Contestants will be able to download a free version of the Webots software for simulating a robotic scenario where two rat robots compete for survival in a maze-like environment.

- ALife Creators Contest
- The ALife Creators contest intends to confront artificial creatures programmed by competitors. A limited version of Webots, a mobile robotics simulation software is provided to competitors for free. Matches are run each week and the Hall of Fame is updated accordingly. At the end of the contest, the creature ranked #1 in the Hall of Fame will be declared winner of the contest and its creator will receive US$ 1000.
